Why I read this book

I had seen this book all over goodreads in the past few weeks, when I was searching new galley for there new releases I saw this and decided to request it. . . .  . And was excepted. After I started reading I decided to buy a physical copy of this book.

My thoughts on this book as a whole

I loved this book, I typically read fluffy light cotemporary's, so this was a step out of my comfort zone . . . As this was a darker contemporary than I am used to. I thought the plot was so original, I really enjoyed the back story's to the characters. The main characters Hayden and Tenley were given such depth. Helena Hunting really managed to capture the darkness inside them really well, she really showed the characters for what they really were, two broken people with flaws.

Tenley Page – Main Female protagonist

I loved Tenley,

I felt that Tenley was a really intricate female protagonist, she had a lot of different sides to her which gave her a lot of dimension. I really felt sympathy for her, and some of the tragic thing that had happened to
her. The one con about her character was that at times she could seem a little selfish. 

Hayden - Main Male protagonist

Hayden was such a interesting character, with such a dark past. I thought that his progression in this story was phenomenal, I thought he grew so much as a person and was very good at showing how unique he was. The con I felt about his character was that I didn’t like how he was portrayed as a man whore.

The Romance

The relationship in this book was intense. Tenley and Hayden had such a deep bond over their tragic pasts, and it came across perfectly. The romance is such a huge part in this book, but it never once felt forced or rushed. . .  I thought the romance grew at a fantastic pace (Not to slow /Not to fast). . . This book does have sexual content, this was handled very well , I thought the heat between the characters was great.

The Story

I felt that this story was very intense and angsty ,both the main characters back story's were tragic and painful. . . I’m not going to say anything about them as I think that would be a huge spoiler. The main story is about two people coming to terms with there past and learning to love.

Overall Impressions – Good

This book was a really steamy intense read, I would definitely recommend you pick this one up.
